crookesey Posted September 27, 2011 Author Share Posted September 27, 2011 The crown is a different one, also the George V cipher is a plain G R while the George VI one is a more elaborate G VI R - see this website: http://www.lbsg.org/ - click on "Letter Boxes" and then "Ciphers" to see the difference.Yes - but not many, and I don't know if there are any in Sheffield. The difference between George V and George VI wall boxes can be seen on two boxes currently on sale via eBay - George V and George VI. And they certainly ain't cheap!
