Flight baggage allowance

We are flying next week with thomson,15kg baggage allowence and 5kg hand luggage.

If you dont use your 5kg hand luggage is this transfered to your baggage allowence to allow you 20kg, have tried looking on paperwork but nothing is clear.

No, it can't be transferred.

Are you allowed to put stuff like hair straighteners and hair dryers in hand luggage.

You're allowed to take electrical items (like laptops and hairdryers) in your hand baggage, but they have to be removed and screened separately.

no it cant be transfered, and yes, dryer and straightners can go in hand luggage

No it cant and make sure you follow all regulations on what you can have in hand luggage as we stupidly shifted something that was in case, to hand luggage (tied bag), and I didn't realise the OH had also tied all our sun cream in the same bag as this thing (inflatable things for pool), so lost £15 of Nivea sunblock when they checked it at security, which we then had to go straight to Boots in the airport and replace. Whoops! Also make up liquids and stuff all need to be in case or in a see through freezer type bag.
