boyfriday
Ugly?! Are you using the term as a figure of speech here? I've always quite fancied Khan. Just be grateful Mecky's not a world leader
Suffragette1
Just shows that there is no accounting for taste;). He's rather lush but then again I have always had a bit of thing for Asian men.
Halibut
So do you now acknowledge that aid to Pakistan is a waste and has been for decades? No, whatever gave you that idea? I said I was inclined to listen more closely to Khan than to Bassman's rantings.
Conrod
..and coming from the mouth of Khan it has far more credibility than from the mouth of Griffin or his ilk.Of course, but it's a shame that some people will only listen to that sort of concern if it comes from somebody like Khan, and just cry 'bigot' if it's raised by a white man. I think it fair to cry bigot if the white man who raises it actually is one though, wouldn't you?
sccsux
and just cry 'bigot' if it's raised by a white man. It's nothing to do with the colour of the skin of the person making the claims, it's more about griffin being a racist and a bigot.
Suffragette1
Men don't do a great deal for me personally (probably because I'm male). They shouldn't for me either really, being a feminist an' all, by rights I should be a lezzer.

That wasn't my point though Conrod, Khan's view has credibility because he actually has a knowledge and love of his country, just as would a white man who had lived there or had an emotional connection to it. But invariably when we see objections from people to aid being sent to Pakistan it's because they're haters, with a miserly self interest.
