richarda
does anyone remember this place during the war ?
RobWardley
Not during the war but I certainly remember going to Battle of Britain celebrations in the early fifties. I understand its prime function during the war was as a barrage balloon site. It seems a dreadful waste that this land has remained empty ever since the RAF departed. DUFFEMS
was it on the old airfield that they had the driver training and skid pan? Yes, both our sons learnt to drive there back in the 1980's/90's.
