Student, 18 years old, lots of members of the opposite sex + cheap booze = a dam good night out. But no, as usual the killjoy lefties are at it again, they are going to ruin their lifes, ruin their health, get drunk (isn't that the point) and have a good time. Are the lefties right? will they ruin their lives this coming weekend and turn into raging alcholics? Lets not forget, many of us in our youth enjoyed student nights, 50p a pint in Berlins on a Thursday? or what about 50p a pint on your holidays in Ibiza in the 1990s. Anyway, IMO, the responsibility doesn't lie with the landlord to make alcohol prohibitively expensive, it lies with the drinker not to drink more than they can handle. The licence holder does have an obligation to not serve anyone who is clearly drunk with any more alcohol though, if this was abided by then I don't see a problem!
