brokenwings
I moved into our house in January this year, i have a pre payment electric meter that was left from previous tennants that had run up a bill with n power, now i stayed with n power because i couldnt be bothered with the fuss of changing suppliers, i did phone n power asking them to remove the meter as i do not want it and would like to pay my bill by direct debit, n power say that it cannot be removed, even though i dont owe any money to n power and actually, they owe me! is there any other way i can get them to take it out that you know of please, i hate it, constantly running out while iam at work, ruining my frozon foods, having to run to the shop at evenings to top it up, last night the electric went while i was cooking, ploughed into pitch black darkness... hubby was at work and i was panicking like mad... i hate the dark

Mikes10
Yet another example of companies left to their own devices, you would think OFGEM woukd ensure standard procedures were in place for this event. vwkittie
When we moved in to our house, it had an N Power Pre Pay meter. We just switched to Eon and they came round and fitted a proper meter free of charge. Easy peasy. N Power I believe wanted to charge us for the privilege!
