kingkhan91
Hi... I have a 2001 corsa 1.7 diesel have the heater fan inside is broken. All other electrics work. Even when the heater is on hot, the car warms up slowly but the fan speed doesnt work. Whether you have it off or on 4, it makes no difference. Any idea what might be the issue guys? skinz
Fuse, wiring, armature, brushes, seized fan bearing, obstruction, heater switch.
kingkhan91
The car was taken into the garage today, and machanic claims it was some curcuit board, will get better picture when i go to pick it up... says it will cost about £70 for the part + labour. What does that sound like to you?

robwillow
how can i access the thermal fuse? or do i need a mechanic to have a look n do it for me? I start to see why you got a high quote... No, there is a fuse panel somewhere in the car, most likely in the dashboard somewhere (look in manual). All the fuses are there and hopefully a little map of which one does what. Find the one and check the fuse. On the other hand it could well be a £70 job replacing something behind the dash, as you often have to remove all sorts of things to get there and then get a very specific part at whatever price the manufacturer wants to charge. It's not got air con has it?

robwillow
I stand corrected, you need a mechanic for that one.
