No idea about yours but my OH has a Passat and the switch is built into a control panel with other controls. I reckon it would be expensive to replace. It looks a little like this: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/19/dsc02357nu.jpg/ and contains a number of coiled wires which provide different resistance which gives the different blower settings.
