Ford To Launch the 150 MPG Mini Van

Recommended Posts

Hi

Ford is set to announce the launch of the 150mpg mini van. It is based on the current Fiesta model. Weight saving features inc 11 inch wheels, narrow tyres, doors, hatch, bonnet and fenders made out of plastic (Mercedes A Class already use plastic panels to a degree) and the seats will be "the lightest in class." there will be no radio as standard, manual windows and more streamlined front and other areo touches to the sides and back. The 150 mpg is an avg at 46mph. A combi cycle of urban and highway driving is claimed at 90mpg.

Road tax will be zero as the new 1025 engine will qualify the car for the lowest road fund licence which is set at 0.

Downside is, the car will cost 3000 more than its equivalents. However, anyone doing 20000 miles a year should recover the costs in 3 years it is claimed
