xenia
So Milliband has launched a moral crsade against "bad business". This whilst LABOUR officials negotiate a 1 million pound donation from Andrew Rosenfield. A former tax exile, Rosenfiled returned to UK after 5 years in Geneva after pillaging £68 m from Allders Pension Fund. Also caught up in LABOURS cash for honours scandal in 2006. Silly Milly said in his speech to the bruvvers that he was against predators in UK business. Not when it comes to taking their money for the party though ED? Obelix
How do you negotiate a donation? Someone either donates the money or not. If it comes with conditions attached then perhaps it should be called a bung?

mj.scuba
didnt william cook who donates to the tories wanted the gov to boycott the loan to forgemasters:huh:(hmm i wonder why) Probably because it would have given one of his competitors a state-backed competative advantage in a particular sector. I1L2T3
Be interesting to see how this plays out. It's a nice idea but how would they make it not look like unneccessary state meddling in the operation of the markets - the problem is the media would portray every new rule around fair markets, no matter how desirable, as big brother state intervention. Obelix
So it's OK for them to meddle in some markets (see your other post) but not in others? Can't have it both ways dear chap....

Milly won't actually point the finger at specific targets, his speech after all is aimed at the gullible public rather than any predators. Business as usual.
