Cheap first car ?

Recommended Posts

Can you show me a taxed and tested Mini for sale anywhere, for less than £1000?

Ain't that the truth.

You could do worse than a 6N (94-99 shape) VW Polo which can be had for half a grand. A 1.0 is low insurance. A 1.4 probably not much different to a 1.4 Golf, insurance-wise.

Hi

Get a decent , 6 yr old ford KA. pay around 4/5k via ford main dealer

what is "cheap" initially can be very costly the day after the purchase = FACT

This part you missed:

i have about up to 1000 pound for a first car

Sub-£1000 Kas can be quite rusty. Ford aren't very generous with underseal.

Get a corsa , so easy to run and fairly cheap insurance, also quite cheap if they need fixing ever.

I have always used tesco insurance, they are one of the cheapest and really nice to deal with . I recently had a crash and they were so good at sorting everything out for me

Ford Fiesta or Nissan Micra! They go on forever! Few years back I had Fiesta I bought for £50. Never had a problem with it lol, even got me around in the heavy snow when everyone else was sliding about. Got a new car 6 months later and scrapped it for the same price I paid. :D
