alchresearch
Insurance groups and engine sizes don't have any bearing on cheap insurance. I know a few people who found a group 6 2L diesel cheaper than a group 1 1L petrol. You don't mention your age, but factor in anywhere from £1500 to £3000 for insurance. Greengeek
Get an old car, Mini, beetle etc and you'll benefit from much cheaper insurance.
John X
Get an old car, Mini, beetle etc and you'll benefit from much cheaper insurance. I think we had this a few weeks back. Can you show me a taxed and tested Mini for sale anywhere, for less than £1000? John X
shims
Can you show me a taxed and tested Mini for sale anywhere, for less than £1000? Ain't that the truth. You could do worse than a 6N (94-99 shape) VW Polo which can be had for half a grand. A 1.0 is low insurance. A 1.4 probably not much different to a 1.4 Golf, insurance-wise. Ford aren't very generous with underseal.
katiewillow
Get a corsa , so easy to run and fairly cheap insurance, also quite cheap if they need fixing ever. I have always used tesco insurance, they are one of the cheapest and really nice to deal with . I recently had a crash and they were so good at sorting everything out for me
Amaranthus
Ford Fiesta or Nissan Micra! They go on forever! Few years back I had Fiesta I bought for £50. Never had a problem with it lol, even got me around in the heavy snow when everyone else was sliding about. Got a new car 6 months later and scrapped it for the same price I paid. littlebasher
I got a Nissan 2002 Micra for my Lauren and insured it with Diamond for £1100 on a 10 month bonus accelerator scheme. Go to the comparison sites and have a shop around with different cars
