chem1st
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-15112760 A rocket carrying China's first space laboratory, Tiangong-1, has launched from the north of the country. The Long March vehicle lifted clear from the Jiuquan spaceport in the Gobi Desert at 21:16 local time (13:16 GMT). Meanwhile in Britain. Millions of £s are been wasted trying to make some families who live in caravans on a field, move to a different field. Will Britain ever launch a space station? Probably not, much better to invest into a rental property an have housing benefit pay the mortgage.

chem1st
How would Britain spending billions on its own space station help with the current housing problems? If housing wasn't overpriced, and rentierism non existent due to plentiful council housing. Then perhaps we could invest in a space program. The money spent on the Dale Farm evictions is from Basildon Council. I don't think Basildon Council's legal powers and remit extend to launching a space station, even as emergency housing accomodation.
