janie48 Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 it depends how close you were to the person.to lose a loved one to whom you are very close is very sad.sometimes a funeral can be a great comfort to the bereaved.---a funeral is soon over but for many the grieving lasts for a long time after. Annina Posted October 2, 2011 Share Posted October 2, 2011 Don't worry about crying,this is the first stage of getting over your loss,if you can't let it out it will fester. Don't do what a friend of mine did at the funeral of a mutual pal who had died young,in the middle of prayers she proceded to pull yards and yards of pink toilet paper out of her pocket,that she took for a hankie. Later on,just as they were lowering his coffin into his grave,she said,"He will be very cross when he gets to heaven because he was an athiest".
