Mass immigration fuelled by poor welfare system

Given that recent news paper comments point to a broken welfare system fuelling mass immigration over the last decade or so, is the system beyond its

sell by date? and if so what can be done to to stop immigration braking the camels back?

far to much money appears to be coming out of the system for it to cope and recent comments from i believe the metro paper suggested that muslims on benefits were more likely to have more children than other groups, given this as an example of how the benefits system is manipulated is it time for a policy change on both benefits and an exact immigration cap?:

what are your :idea:s

welfare and pensions secratery 17th of feb made first comments of the subject, believe it was the mail that first brought it to press and was followed

by various other tabloids since then and still keep bringing up points on it.

get to the heart of the problem and maybe the economy may benefit, or is it you prefer the system as it is:huh:

The leftie luvvies will be on you like a pack of hyenas, pretty soon.

Too bloody right, mate.

Most recent immigration has come from the EU. These people have come here to work, not claim benefits. They weren't allowed to get benefits until they'd been here a year and had jumped through hoops they didn't know existed, although that's now been dropped. Asylum seekers and refugees don't get benefits and can't work officially until their immigration status becomes official. Other immigrants are students who bring in a lot of money - fees, rent, general expenditure, etc. Just have a look round West Street and Glossop Road at the numbers of Chinese, Indians, Arabs, etc, who pump millions into Sheffield.

Also, does it not occur to you that British people go abroad to work or study?

My prediction is that Mr B and others will respond thus:

The operative words here are 'work' and 'study', rather than immigrants coming to the UK to make use of our welfare state.

Or something along those lines.

Am I right?

Easy solution

Cap all benefits to 11k per annum, regardless off how many kids need supporting

If that seems harsh, there are plenty of jobs at the minimum wage that could be applied for
