Anna B
Ah, so you're saying if the tory bullyboys were in government in 2008 we wouldn't have succumbed to the global recession? Yeah right. Disasterous Dave Camerous and Wishy Washy Clegg are really pulling up trees aren't they? The way these two clowns do U-Turns it's one foot forwards 3 miles backwards. Stop with the Party insults! They're all in it together - as in equally culpable!
taxman
By the way it was Labour who led us into that total catastrophe in the first place. And don't forget MPs' expenses, etc. And increasing unemployment is helping how? As for MP's expenses, there were MP's on the fiddle from all 3 main parties, and no doubt some are still. green
A couple of good articles today thats shows the Tories hypocrisy :- Camerons father using a network of off shore funds for the family trust fund http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/apr/20/cameron-family-tax-havens Osbornes father boasting in the FT "How to spend it" how hes looking forward to buying a £19,000.00 desk. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/georgeosborne/9218616/Sir-Peter-Osbornes-love-of-luxury.html I wonder if their families were better off from the 50% tax band to 45%. Surely not....
Tony
What hypocrisy? A few things are worth mentioning here. First, both articles are about politicians fathers, not politicians. Second, in a free country you can spend your money on what you like, and if people didn't buy £19k desks there would not be people employed in making £19k desks . I don't like politics of envy. All you should care about is whether the nation is better off.

This government has promised countless times to deal with tax havens, whilst doing bank handed deals with Switzerland that shafted the better laws that (for once) was coming from Brussels.
