wednesday1
I often take my Rotty's into Nonnas for a cappucino, although they don't provide a water bowl.

Murphy Jnr
I was asking if dogs were allowed in cafes or not, stupidly expecting someone to know... I should have known... well the answer is yes, in some, stupidly we expected you to deduce that from the first few posts
Leah-Lacie
I was asking if dogs were allowed in cafes or not, stupidly expecting someone to know... I should have known... As far as I know, there is no specific law to disallow it, its all at the discretion of the owner.
Mrs Overall
But why? ..... Because dogs roll in some orrible stuff sometimes, wouldnt want to eat my sarnie near that...
Isabelle
As long as the dog is well behaved, clean, and just lays down quietly, I don't see the problem. Its not like you're eating off the floor where the dog is, is it?
mmitchell
But why? ..... just think when your in the cafe having some think to eat, and there's a dog sat next or near you, gets up and starts to shake, think of all the hairs, or bits & bobs that will fly off onto your food. or what if the dog bit some when they came in the cafe

Fair dues, neither would I but the vast majority do not and Guide Dogs are no exception to filth, they do get off the lead.
scoop
am i right in thinking only guide dogs are allowed in eating establishments... No you're not right. Guide dogs don't get steam sterilised every night you know. They are neither more nor less germ ridden than their non working, layabout counterparts.
