Non Christians need not apply.

Recommended Posts

It doesn't matter one iota just as you wouldn't emply a none plumber to fix your pipes etc you would only want to employ a Christian to promote Christain beliefs.

you do come up with some twaddle.

The job advert for the IT position states that the applicant should be "in sympathy with, the aims and objectives of Church Army and the community of the Wilson Carlile Centre".

That doesn't exempt a non-Christian from applying for the job, and therefore doesn't fall foul of non-discrimination laws.

Most people are probably in sympathy with the goals of the organisation they work for, to the extent that they are paid and want to do a good job. I am in sympathy with the goal of the owner of our business to get as rich as possible, whilst at the same time finding the concept of greed morally questionable.

The marketing position possibly does fall foul of non-discrimination laws, unless it could be shown to be directly involved with religious ministry, which it possibly does.

I suspect the jobs have been advertised carefully, to ensure that only Christians apply, whilst just staying within the law.

Can Stonewall opt out of recruiting people not actively involved in being Gay? .
Why does being happy have any relevence to 'Stonewalling'? Surely when the weather is bad and you're up on the moors and the stone is cold and you're wet being happy isn't a requirement.

Can you imagine a muslin working in a humane slaughterhouse?

Yes I could, but I couldn't imagine a non-Muslim working in a Halal one.

This is precisely how religious employment protectionism works. If you're in the club you have access to 100% of the jobs, but if you're not then you don't.

But would you promote a Christian with no experience for marketing and communications in the church, or would you promote a non-Christian who is a marketing and communications expert?

A person doesn't have to believe in something to promote it, as part of their job. The OP doesn't actually say anything about promoting Christian beliefs either.

Once again a stupid reply, you're now assuming that no qualified Christians only qualified none Christians would apply, you get dafter.
