MonkeyLover
simple solution If I were the OP, I would print this advert off, and put it through his neighbour's letterbox!
sccsux
A thin strip of copper wire (expose) should be laid across the length of the fence (along the top, where the pigeons land) and a small electric current passed through. They'll soon learn.

WasThatWise
As a temporary measure get some old video tape and tie lengths of it to the fence posts so that they blow freely in the wind, the movement will discourage some pigeons from wanting to land there, after a couple of weeks they may have found somewhere else to roost like the tesco express building at Frecheville. Agent Orange
Burn the fence down. That'll show 'em. I like this course of action, personally. No fence + no birds = no shouty man.
sccsux
Have you never seen birds perched on 40,000 volt power lines? Your point being (please remember that when they are sat on the power lines, they are not earthed)?
sccsux
no shouty man. The man would be shouting at the OP though for burning down his fence.
phawley
Your point being (please remember that when they are sat on the power lines, they are not earthed)? Neither would they be if they were sat on a wooden fence.

Nobody in their right mind goes ballistic if a pigeon sits on their fence, send for the men in white coats:D
