Are consumer electronics cheaper in Europe?

Recommended Posts

I want some Bluetooth stereo headphones, so I can listen to music on my phone or iPod without catching the connecting cord on everything.

I'll be going on a short trip to Paris and Bruges soon, and wondered whether I'd get them cheaper there than I would in the UK.

Unfortunately, despite several hours of searching t'interweb, I haven't been able to find out!

So, can anybody on SF help me, please? Are electonics cheaper in Europe - if so, would I be best buying them on the ferry, or in France or in Bruges?

In my experience, electronics are more expensive in France.

If you do buy them there, go to Fnac. Not because they are cheap, but because they have a fantastically arcane sales system. Your purchase will probably involve about five different sales people.
