Clairvoyants: genuine or conmen/women?

Recommended Posts

A true spiritualist medium would never charge for their services of connection to the spirit realm. I have given countless reading specialising in Psychometry which is reading the vibrations from a metalic object, usually a ring or necklace etc.... Never pay for psychic services, if you do... THEY WILL BE FAKERS AND CON ARTISTS.

Peace and Love, Richard... x

How does that work?

Ah, but how can you prove there's nothing in it?

If I invent a parascientific phenomenon and give it a name, nobody can prove that it doesn't exist.

It is because of that, that the onus is always to provide evidence that some ability does exist, and not the other way round. We don't need to prove that there is no such thing as clairvoyance; not accepting it is the default position unless, and until, sufficient evidence turns up to prove otherwise.

Of course not, non existent people cannot charge anyone for anything.

Lol, I can read the vibrations from objects too, and not just metal! No I can sense vibrations from any kind of object as long as they are strong enough. I tend to call it 'sound'. :hihi:

I've looked into it a few times over the years.

There are some who seem amazing, and people who witness them will go away and say what they saw was paranormal, which creates a kind of "urban myth" that there is something real about them.

I think that some of these people who perform get such a response that they actually come to believe that they are actually doing something amazing. In reality it's a very clever show that will give people half ideas that they can make mean whatever they want. There was a show done by Derren Brown which illustrated this perfectly.

I don't know much about the spiritualist church, have met some people from there who actually gave me the creeps with the stuff they were coming out with.

I never discount anything though, if anyone has got some stories where people seem to have done things that COULD NOT have been guessed I would love to hear them.

I have twice been to events where the star turn came up with things he couldn't possibly have known in advance or merely guessed; one was James Randi and the other was Derren Brown, who openly admit they're using trickery and not psychic powers.
