mrspale Posted October 11, 2011 Share Posted October 11, 2011 Hi I want to take my hubby away for a couple of nights for his birthday. I was thinking some where in the peak district. Hubby is in to walking and real ale, So a pub with accomdation would be good or a cottage. Open fire is a bonus. Does anyone know of anywhere like this. Can spend about £250 -£300. HeadingNorth Posted October 11, 2011 Share Posted October 11, 2011 The Waltzing Weasel in Birch Vale used to be excellent; I'm sure it will still have the log fire, high quality rooms and so on, but the former owner has moved on and the menu has changed, so I can't vouch for the food being as good as it used to be.
