This is 2011 and you appear to be quoting 2007 £. £100k will soon be a poor wage as inflation lets rip. Can you tell us who will be around to pay a poor wage of £100,000pa. "soon"

Mecky
From memory (which is fallible in my case) , Bombardier are cutting 1,400 jobs at their old train plant. Siemens are creating 2,000 at their new train plant. Oh, and Siemens will create lots of construction jobs too. Oh, so that's why unemployment is up then? High enemployment is a price worth paying, remember that?

CXC3000
To get people fighting for jobs and drastically reduce wages, thus making more money for capitalists. But if there's a low workforce, how would that be making money for the capitalists ?
