Does anyone know what it is? Xx or this Sands of time (running out) - time (passing) An allusion to the hourglass, an old device for measuring the passage of time. It consisted of two glass vessels linked by a narrow neck, and contained a quantity of sand that took exactly an hour to pass from the upper to the lower chamber. Vicki245
Hi, from what my Daughter tells me, its to do with Maths, they take a test every week and move up in levels. I know she comes home most weeks pleased with herself that's she moved up to the next level.
Lady Star
It's not a maths term, no... It's a poetic reference to the passing of time - through an hour glass (or egg timer, as they work in the same way)... It would take 60mins for sand to pass through an hour glass... Or 60 secs through an egg timer...

cookiecrumbl
Vicky245 it sounds like what you've said. Does it count towards teacher assessment. I've tried to google it but can't find anything. I wonder if all schools do it!

I wonder if all schools do it! I think it probably does count towards it, don't think its too hard though, just something else to help them with Maths, so can only be a good thing. My Daughter is at Wisewood, I'm not sure it if nationwide.
