Reasonably priced accommodation in London

I'm looking to stay down in London for either 1 or 2 nights at the beginning of November.

 

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel/b&b etc.

the same amount of money can get a room in one of a mulitude of cheapies around Victoria station but accommodation is pretty dire really.

Have you checked if there is a Premier or Holiday Inn close to where you are staying these have reasonable priced rooms, basic but okay.

 

Or if you wanted to risk it a bit wait till closer the time and try Late Rooms.com or Trivago, for bargains at better hotels.

http://www.travelodge.co.uk, if you book a long time in advance you can get rooms for like £19 a night.

Where abouts in London and how do you define 'cheap'?

If you can be bothered to take a tent with you I understand there's a free camp site outside St. Paul's cathedral at the moment, I think they are planning to keep it open for a while.

Premier Inn are OK for a cheap hotel, or perhaps consider getting a short let apartment. You get more space that way and it's cheaper if there's a few in your party.

Small room, but enough to store luggage and has a shower room. Also has its own heating/air cooling
