Ghozer Posted October 24, 2011 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Just in response to the OP.. lots of the things you said are true, but also you have to remember that lots are also the opposite to the old... a Current, modern TV (let's say, a 43" LCD) uses the same, (and some times LESS) energy than an older 21" 'big' TV Lots of things have become more energy efficient than thier older counterparts, often blancing it out, or even making it better... a modern car (of the last, 5-10 years) is much greener and more efficient than older cars, uses less fuel to get anywhere, the fuel is cleaner... the ratio is something like 2.5:1 (2.5 modern cars are about equivelent to 1 old car in emmissions) But the other thing you have to realise is, which generation was it that thought up all of todays modern gadgets and gizmo's, and actually invented them...
