How do you survive on £60 per week. ?

Recommended Posts

I think that's the going rate on benefits for a single person.

How do they manage. ?

That's less than a tenner a day. ! :o

I know i couldn't do it and i'd crap myself if faced with having to do so.

On that note i take my hat off to them, and whilst i hate pitying anyone, i do, it must be shear hell.

When my father was unemployed, he didn't riot.

Nor did he steal designer leisuirewear, tvs from currys or naughty underwear from ann summers.

No, he got on his bike and looked for work

How far did he travel, what job did he get and would he get a similar one now?

I read another thread and it suggested people on benefits just sit home all day playing on computers, drinking and smoking pot, but how can they on less than £10 per day. ?

I doubt i could even stay warm and have a full stomach on such a lowly sum.

This forum despises the unemployed, according them jobs are literally everywhere.

You won't be living the life of Riley, but it can be done.

What do you really need to spend a tenner a day on? You can live on that quite easily really, assuming rent and council tax are paid for you. I use the term 'easily' loosely.

I just wouldn't know where to start. !

No nights out, no car, no holiday, i doubt i'd be able to keep any pets, no money for hobbies, and how could you even buy basic clothes. ?

I'd be terrified at the prospect.
