How do you survive on £60 per week. ?

Recommended Posts

I just wouldn't know where to start. !

No nights out, no car, no holiday, i doubt i'd be able to keep any pets, no money for hobbies, and how could you even buy basic clothes. ?

I'd be terrified at the prospect.

Look on the bright side.

If you were on the min wage, you would probably have the same problems.

No money for hobbies, car, holidays and not much spending on clothes.

If you were a nudist, then at least you would not have to worry about buying new clothes

I work full time and after all my rent and bils I have to live on less than £10.00 a day.

Considering most claimants also get housing benefits, extra monies for each child/dependant, free dental, free healthcare treatments, free prescriptions and access to apply for other general financial support including emergency loans, assistance with travel, food, clothing etc.

You can survive quite easily on a TEMPORARY basis - after all that's what non life dependant benefits are for. Just temporary.

I think you are missing the point if you are supposed to survive on it. Its supposed to be a stop gap whilst you are in dire straits and nothing else.

Firstly what's that got to do with anything its hardly a staple human right...

Secondly, why would a bottle or so of cheapo wine or a few tins of beer put such a large dent in your weekly budget? Have you seen the price of it in some shops... is cheaper than cola.

You learn, you adapt.

You can have very cheap nights out if you know where to go.

No car = walking....buns of steel, baby :D

Pets keep you sane in these times.....keep the pets, things can only get better.

sacrifice your hobbies and holidays.

Smoke less, socialise less, drink less.

then when you do het a job.... wehey!! I'm in the money.

I can FINALLY buy clothes that aren't from primani, and go on holidays that aren't camping in the Peak District!!

After scrimping and saving and learning to live without things, I now have a job that pays ok, but I feel rich. Really rich, so I'm going on a proper holiday! with NEW clothes.

But I still watch the pennies.

Yeah, but what if you don't want to wreck your liver on cheap stuff? All that cheapo stuff is only drunk by berks. Of course it's a human right, if you have nothing to do all day and night, the human right is to get wrecked, so you don't think about never having a job and future and stuff.
