aardvark6535
I've been looking into donating my body for medical research, mainly to avoid the cost of a funeral being brought upon my family or my estate but it's not as straight forward as one would have thought. The consent forms are simple enough, the problem comes if you have signed up for "Organ Donation" as well. As I see it, organ donation takes priorty over donating the whole body but they will not pay for funeral costs, but if organs have been removed, your body will not be wanted for medical research............... I am now thinking of taking my name off the organ donation regester to ensure my body is accepted for medical research. Should funeral cost be met by the state if you have signed up for organ donation ? Would this increase the number of people on the regester?
