llamatron
No, but it'll mean if they're not licensed they can be destroyed. that phrase disgusts me. You don't destroy a living creature!
Conrod
No, but it'll mean if they're not licensed they can be destroyed.Oh great, dead dog fest. Perhaps instead if having an unlicensed dog might also include a criminal offence and fine might deter at least a significant proportion of dimwits from getting hold of dogs for the wrong reason. Conrod
that phrase disgusts me. You don't destroy a living creature! It's actually the correct term used by the law enforcement (and animal charities too often enough) to refer to euthenisation of dogs. Murphy Jnr
That doesn't make it acceptable. What would you prefer, something that makes it less distasteful? It's the same end result
MrSmith
Means testing? Behave! No need. I agree with Conrod - all that's needed is compulsory licensing and chipping and for any dog found out and about unlicensed and unchipped to be sent to the big kennel in the sky. How would a license prevent someone from being attacked by a dog, any dog can bite if it is provoked and a licence won't prevent that.
