What has religion done for women.

Recommended Posts

Less than totally polite but the comment regarding that post were factual.

My salary is paid into a bank account. That is decided my my employer.

The cash is then split up into expenses, money we intend to save in the form of bonds and we get the same each as spending money.

Our country house is totally in my wife's name and she may do with it as she wishes without my permission. As far as I'm concerned it's a wedding gift of Rp500,000,000 or about 100 years of average salary in that village.

You may consider the rest of this a comment on your uniformed opinion as very rude because it'll save me typing it if you take a guess.

Wow.

How big of you:rolleyes::hihi:

Would you give your wife one hundred years wages?

That leaves her secure in the even of anything happening to me and her not being able to access my pensions for any reason.

Many religions demand a husband take care of his wife's needs. I see no reason that shouldn't mean security and looking after those needs even after my death.

it seems like the right thing to do.

Any objections?

So you only married her for her money and house then?

You mean you think something would happen to you if you did.

The bible/koran encourages sex slaves?
Yup, pretty much. They are truly horrible books, I'm amazed that people encourage children to read them.

Drrrr. The thread is asking what has religion done for women. In religious teachings, it isn't allowed to use women purely for sex.

In many a boozer, "I'd like to shag that" is pretty much normal.

What's wrong with saying that? I wouldn't use such crude language but I definitely talk about hot girls with my friends. That's one of the benefits of living in a society that isn't being sexually repressed by an archaic religion.

<snip long irrelevant rant>

...That makes your post total, uninformed, bigoted crap.

*whooosh*

You hear that? It was the sound of my point flying way above you.

You presume too much.
I was right though you didn't answer the question. You just complained that it was an unfair question, which it was, deliberately, in order to makje a point about your equally unfair and bigoted question. I'm amazed you didn't get that. Sorry I overestimated your intelligence.

No.
Why should I be convinced by the two anecdotes you've told?

Firstly, even if they are true, it proves nothing, they are just 2 incidents.

Secondly, you have given me no reason to trust you, so why should I believe they are true anyway?
