Conrod
Here are some experts who disagree with you - http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/oct/26/occupy-london-tents-rubbish-science A miltary scientist who specialises in camouflaging soldiers against thermal imaging said - '' "They cannot make the assumption that they have made from those images. The way they are set up, you wouldn't be able to tell if there's anyone in the tent or not, especially if someone is sleeping in an insulated sleeping bag." Isn't it strange then that the cameras used by Police and military can even make out individual cannabis plant lamps through a tiled roof? I've used this sort of equipment plenty and, as I've said, assure you that you can see human heat sources through tent fabric. Read what you will from an "unnamed alleged military scientist", I'm just going on experience of using the equipment
Agent Orange
If they're away from their tent then the tent is litter as far as I'm concerned and should be cleared away. He would say that, wouldn't he The below report makes interesting reading. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-15457669

Perhaps they should be made to stay in their tents overnight. And put up with the clock chiming all through the night.

Perhaps they shouldnt be there in the first place making the streets look a mess.

Halibut
Have anyone actually attempted to answer my question? Apparently not, so I'll try again - even if were true that many tents were unoccupied overnight, how would this render the protester's views invalid? Weather their gripe is valid or not is not the point, they've been asked to move on from a piece of private property and they are, so far, refusing. That's the bottom line. This is all about this group's reluctance to move and nothing else.

Then why do people keep banging on about the allagedly unnocupied tents? Do you support the right to peaceful protest?

Again, this is about a group failing to move from private land when asked. It's not about whether we support the right to protest or not. That isn't the issue here.
