I went to meet someone for a drink in a pub on the Sunday at 1pm when it was really 3pm. This was in the days when pubs shut at 2pm on Sundays and there were no mobiles. I bumped into someone on the way and said I'd be coming back at 3pm and he asked me what time I thought it was. I wasn't even 30 which is the age I went to an Elvis Costello concert the night after it had happened and wondered why there was no one there.
