hillsbro
Hi inessex - I did wonder if there was a link with John Gunson, especially as the 1891 and 1901 census returns show that Frederick's father Maurice was a water works employee. The deaths index shows that Frederick died in Chesterfield in 1968, aged 79. I am familiar with the Sheffield Flood as my great-great-grandfather Henry Whittles saved his family when their house near Hillsborough Corner was partly swept away. If you have the DVD The Forgotten Flood, I do a 2-minute stint talking to camera.
