alternageek
The Holidays isn't just Christmas though, it's a longer period, they still call Christmas "Christmas" in the US http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_and_holiday_season Exactly. The 'holiday' season includes: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa (which is mainly an African American celebration), New Years and all other important holidays that fall around the winter solstice time. Its not being PC, its being polite and making sure no one is over looked during a important time for many cultures, not just one.

Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and new year etc are referred to as Hanukkah, Kwanzee and new year when they come around; what the OP is objecting to is Christmas not being referred to as Christmas when it comes around, but "the holidays" instead. Cyclone
Am I the only one who objects the Christmas now being called "The Holidays". have'nt we enough Americanisation????? Who's calling it that? Has anyone told you that you have to call it that? If not then you're probably objecting to something that really doesn't matter aren't you?
