So baseball fans, we have a little curve ball for you. Yeah. We've kinda got an announcement. We said there would be an after party for the Halloween throw down with Fear Of Flying. And after much beavering away, phone calls, meetings and using our manners like our mum's told us, we have managed to secure literally the hottest artist in electronic music at the moment. Sheffield please give it up for......

MIGUEL CAMPBELL [ Hot Creations | Wolf + Lamb | Outcross ]

I'm sure that this news has either;

A) made you weep with joy

B) made your eyeballs explode with excitement

Whether its A or B, you will need help reading the next bit, so we've created a simple fact based timeline style blurb.

1) Miguel played at GrowMore's event of yesteryear 'BIO' in 2008 at Tequila on West St.

2) Miguel's music finds its way into the record boxes of Soul Clap, having been featured on their Social Experiment II mix album (on Art Department's no19 Music) and made it onto their Essential Mix too

3) MC's work is signed by Jamie Jones, releasing 'Active Touch' on Hot Natured Re-Rubs

4) Wolf + Lamb signs Miguel and production partner Matt Hughes up for MAM Edits on W + L Black

5) Campbell rocks Mint Club with a guest spot on the Leeds leg of the Wolf+Lamb/Soul Clap DJ Kicks World Tour

6) Joins the tour again to do the same at Watergate, Berlin as well as on the roof top of the Standard Hotel in LA.

7) Miguel plays gigs as far a field as Italy, Ibiza, Mexico, Tunisia & Moscow, plus home grown parties like Sankeys, Jaunt, Ape-x, MuMu, Mono_Cult

8) Miguel's 'Something Special' becomes the first Hot Creations release to reach the Beatport #1 spot

WOW. From Tequila on West St to #1 in the Beatport chart. What a journey. And trust the lovely boys at Cargo to bring him back to Sheffield for what promises to be a truly emotional party.

That said, it's not like Miguel has suddenly popped up out of nowhere; his

own Outcross Records has been home for much of his earlier work, both as a

solo artist and under his MAM project with fellow producer Matt Hughes.

Outcross is where he honed his exquisite production skills and the label

held a residency at Back to Basics, making his sound a firm favourite with

clued-up Northern clubbers and gaining massive love from his fellow DJs.

You know you're doing something right when you've got the likes of Paul

Woolford asking you how the hell you get your sound.

We at Cargo can spot his distinctive style a mile off, fusing early French house/Daft Punk influences with Metro Area's mid-tempo disco grooves and a bottom-end to make you **** your pants. Whilst this particular brand of house music is bang on trend right now, this brother has been making it for years; it

just took everyone else a while to catch up.

VENUE

Ohmy****ingdays. The legendary Fez club is back! So many hazy memories of this venue are held dear to myself and the other Cargo crew thanks to Urban Gorilla, Scuba et al. holding amazing parties at The Fez.

If you're old enough to know, then you will be gagging to see what they'e done to the place (its bigger, badder and with a **** off Funktion One) and all you young 'uns; well just get ready for the next phase in Sheffields clubbing renaissance.

TICKETS

Believe it or not, you can get into this MASSIVE event for £3. All you need to do is make your way down to the main Cargo event with (also bang on form super cool label) Fear Of Flying. This will be MOTD so we urge you to join us at the main event here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=240596855991796

Just another reason to keep it Cargo. Part of the solution since 2006.
