chem1st
I had this debate about men a few weeks ago, men not acting like men, wearing jeans etc... not wearing a suit A man should wear the clothes appropriate for his work, it should not affect his social standing. cuttsie
Dear cuttsie Are we to take it that you're a paragon of gentlemanness? Do tell... I always open a door for a lady even if she is a bit dodgy. I always stand up and offer a lady my seat on the tram even though my offer is sometimes rebuffed. I always pick up the tab when out with a lady even when i am skint! I never swear in front of a lady although this is sometimes not reciprocated. So you tell me. love_rat
A man should wear the clothes appropriate for his work, it should not affect his social standing. Men do not dress for there age. Is it any wonder that we therefore have youths who smash things up? Perhaps if men wore suits, then teens would not riot?

They often target derelict buildings, it could be considered a form of protest against their lack of social mobility. As they get older, they will change, they might go to war and fight for a better life. Anyone should be able to wear a suit if they so wish... denlin
I'd rather see a women with flowers in her hair, a smile upon her face, that earns an honest living and need not get by on her looks alone. I had flowers in my hair in the sixties when I was a flower child:love::love:

As to wearing jeans then that is ok in the garden or working on the building site.

How is yours different to, "the dreaded ill fitting trouser suite or even worse jeans"?
