Saturday 26th November sees 4 years since Delve Deeper was started up by Liam C & Jenny Fu with the ethos of pushing deep house music in Sheffield.

 

During the 4 years, it has hosted some memorable parties, showcasing the leading talent Sheffield offers in many of the best venues the city offers.

 

For our 4th birthday, we will be celebrating in style at DQ Upstairs Lounge and will be joined by one of the most established DJ/producer in world house music. A DJ who represents the sound of Delve Deeper, and one who’s music has been played at our events time after time, over the 4 years.

 

We present:

 

Sebastian Davidson (Nightbird Music/the Netherlands).

 

You do not stay at the forefront of a scene unless you understand the music and few people understand deep house like Sebastian Davidson. For the last 16 years he has been involved in leading the charge of deep house worldwide, firstly as a DJ then from 2006 as a producer, but in that relatively short time his tracks have appeared on such labels as Kinky Vinyl, Defected, Stealth and Global Underground.

 

2011 has been another incredibly successful and busy year for Sebastian. Taking in gigs all over the world, including the infamous J-Pop (Japan), 360 (Dubai), Club W (Montreal), Dokk (Budapest), Dhruzhba (St Petersburg), The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and many, many more countries.

 

 

His label, Nightbird Music has continued to develop and release quality track after track, firmly establishing itself as one of the best deep house labels out there. Releases and remixes from producers such as Soul Minority, Matt Masters, Spirit Catcher, Bas Amro, Neil Quigley, Pablo Fierro and Huxley, read like royalty list of today’s top producers.

 

 

Sebastian has also seen huge success with his own production. Tracks like Word & Sounds, Nightbird, Mountain Areas, Different Places and Sunday Morning becoming memorable classics of house music, in a day where music is very disposable.

 

Production wise, he has worked with artists such as Kevin Yost, Karol XVII & MB Valence, Pezzner, Daniel Kyo, Joeski, Seva K, K-Bana and Jon Silva (I could go on and on ...), releasing on the best labels out there.

 

His name is often spotted on sites such as Beatport, where he is often at the top end of the top releases, or providing his own charts.

 

Sebastian will be flying into the UK for a mini tour, taking in a gig in London on the Friday, before heading north to join us in celebrating Delve Deeper 4th birthday, deep house style!

 

Believe us when we say Sebastian is one of the current most influential producer and DJ in the world of deep house music today. We feel really pleased and privileged that he will headline our event.
