In 1931 unemployment benefit was 18s/week, and it was cut to 15shilling and 3d. 15s3d today would be the equivalent of £200/week relative to GDP PPP (Relative to the amount of the economy in monetary terms, divided by the amount of people in the economy) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
