crazybaby
They are limited/governed to 56mph (90 km/hr). Thanks for that, I knew it was around that speed, but not quite sure.
denlin
What's the matter with people on here, people have died, families have lost their loved ones just before Christmas and we've got people on here with totally inappropriate posts, have a bit of respect

Nobody has speculated. We have been talking generalities, haven't we?

Surely nobody should be talking and generalising when people have lost loved ones today

bullerboY
We don't know that - just to pick one scenario, a vehicle at the front may have had a tyre blowout. Until the police have finished their investigation we simply don't have the full picture. Many families are grieving today; let's leave the recriminations for another day. So the possibility of being distracted by a bonfire and fireworks does not come into it then.
ronthenekred
How do you work that out? Because it's a debate, not a wake. Aaaaaaaaand, no one has been insensitive.

Hence we should wait for the facts, rather than speculate and call for prosecution in a crass and insensitive way at a time when bodies are still being recovered from the scene. The firework suggestion was put out by the news media, probably from a police source. I don't see anything insensitive, unless they are specific about the gory details or names of victims.
