banjodeano
I went to a butchers today, and the chicken they had on display outside was half frozen, obviously it had been frozen and they put it outside to sell, but there was no signs up stating it had been frozen, or that it wasnt fresh meat. i am sure people would have bought some of these chickens to re freeze, is this not an unusual practice, or at least un safe and against health and safety
bullerboY
Ooops elf and safety again, their agents have been busy, years ago all kinds of meat and game were displayed outside shops and for the life of me I cannot remember anyone complaining or even dying from this practice and before we get more elf and safety on here the produce was probably half frozen in winter and half putrid in summer. Littlepink
I think it's called being " nipped" , it's only partially frozen to keep it fresher longer but I may stand corrected if anyone knows differently as I cannot remember where I got that info from .
