Will six inches still be big enough if the weather is cold ? Light pollution is the biggest problem for astronomers, so she'll be insisting on turning the lights out before using it. HeadingNorth Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 It won't be visible to the naked eye, you need at least a 6 inch telescope apparently. Not only that, but it will be very dim and moving (compared to other objects in the sky) extremely fast, so any novice astronomer is unlikely to be able to find it before it's gone.
