Sheffield - Local Government

Hi,

 

I'm currently a student at the University of Salford, studying Geography. I was born and my home is in Sheffield. For my coursework I need some information of the Local Government in Sheffield. I was just wondering if you could supply me with this information, which would be very helpful and would really appreciate this.

 

The information I need is:

 

* Name of local authority area before 1974 local government reorganisation

* Year of Royal (often medieval) pre-1835 borough charter

* Year industrial-era municipal borough was created, (between 1835 act & 1894)
