When I moved to Australia in 1980 I couldn't locate any store that carried the drink. Then, about 5 years ago, a number of the major supermarket chains began to stock it. Heaven! Alas, my joy was shortlived. Apparently, Dr Pepper requires an acquired taste by many before it's appreciated. Sadly, it was pulled from the shelves presumably before one's taste buds had the chance to kick in. So, it seems as if I'm Dr Pepper-less once again.
