mumkin
Never a truer word. So the Labour party and Conservative Party and Lib dems all think it was a good idea then. Tell me, even now are there any "real" propositions to re-nationalise these industries?
alchresearch
Would the average school leaver have met your minimum requirements? If they know their way around a computer, yes. Practical skills far outweigh any qualifications. So long as they have their GCSEs in Maths and English.

I can't imagine it's on the agenda of any of the three main parties .Personally, the sooner they re nationalise the railways the better.

digglydog
Weren't there ever any problems with British Rail..? Absolutely, but just because something is ineficient means it has to be privatised. I don't think privatising public transport has done anything to help move to a fully integrated transport system. Companies are reluctant to invest in new rolling stock if they may end up losing the franchise in a couple of years so we are lumbered with ridiculously overcrowded trains. llamatron
I think she stopped free school milk Thankfully! She should be proud of that moniker. I know its supposed to be offensive but it just isn't. Being forced to drink warm or frozen milk depending on the time of year ruined my school day (and I loved school). Sir Enoch
Why was Margaret Thatcher nicknamed the milk snatcher and why do some people hate her so much? The only people who hated the Lady were people who wanted something for nothing, leeches, basically the Socialist Worker brigade - now there's a contradiction in terms, an oxymoron ... and they are morons! This scruffy lot just wanted to wave their placards and sponge off the state. They got a bit upset when Maggie sorted them out and dragged this country up by its shoelaces ... peasants! You should get the Turner prize for literature. I've worked since I was 15 and the people that that old bat screwed were the honest working class people of this country and now we're reaping the whirlwind that her legacy left.
