I don't know, plastic surgery is now much cheaper, it's fashionable, celebrities do it all the time, they want to ?

 

I don't think they are all doing it to try and live-up to mens porn expectations, as we have discussed many times before, I think the main group women try to impress is other women, men really aren't all that bothered, as endless polls on here have shown, they would like Pamela Anderson, but if she's not available just about anyone will do.

 

How are labiaplasty and shaved genitals impressing other women, unless we're referring to lesbians? OK, I can see how a neat little Brazilian will be seen in gym changing rooms but many women doing these must be doing it because it's expected of them? As for most other types of grooming, I agree with you and there's an element of competitiveness there rather than solely impressing other females. I hate that whole female competitive and bitchy side.

I wouldn't object to my husband watching porn (provided that it weren't of the misogynistic variety) nor would I expect him to do it secretly but obviously not when the kids are around.

Have canvassed some more lesbian friends and can't find any who have watched lesbo porn. I know a few who watched The L-Word (soft porn) and they all said that it was totally unrealistic and didn't portray 'real' lesbians, much in the same way the Sex and the City, didn't portray 'real' women.

Maybe that's just a difference between men and women though. I don't generally get annoyed at TV programs because the men aren't realistic.

I'm more likely to get annoyed because they show technology that isn't realistic (or on SVU yesterday a diagnosis of aids within a few seconds of seeing oral thrush).
