peakdistrict
On saturday morning a very rare shot of an albino pheasant that was pure white and by all accounts very very rare indeed. one was spotted in 2008 down south but no reported sightings of one in the peak district have ever been shown - but Peak District Online photographer Villager Jim grabbed this shot on saturday morning - ALBINO PHEASANT

vwkittie
That's awesome, it's done well to stay alive! There's a few melanistic (black) pheasants about too, very pretty, just as dumb.

ANGELFIRE1
i was thinking hes done well too surviving , felt sorry for him also that his life will probably be short Nah, he will probably have a long life, most shoots put an extra £50/£100 levy on the odd white bird shot. As these fine breeds of birds are not indigenous to our shores, it's thanks to the "shoots" that are around that you see them at all. Plus they make a fine meal, better towards the end of the season IMHO when they have a little fat on them. Regards Angel.
