chem1st
so if anyone signing on gets a house....i'll take a break from working....cop for a council house...then find myself a job...lovely great smashing.... the wife and five kids want one each aswell.... then we will adopt and cop for some more then rent them out...not thought this through have we... The mortgage would be treated like rent (and some mortgages) is(are) now, when your working you pay it, when your not, you don't. By altering the benefit system to make people better off for working, people would work. This would just remove the housing benefit subsidy given to landlords. As it stands you've already been practically gifted a council house. This system would extend that subsidy to everyone else.
Rich
Instead of giving a house to everyone on benefits... ... remove benefits from everyone with a house. How about it? Won't happen, despite the ranting and raving about benefits from Mail readers
Bonjon
Instead of giving a house to everyone on benefits... ... remove benefits from everyone with a house. How about it? I'm sure they wouldn't find it too hard to find gainful paid employment if that happened. All you hear on here is just excuses why people cant find paid work, I bet if needs be, they would.
