shims
I just put 'learn Spanish language free podcast' into a search engine and found this site: http://www.audiria.com/index.php With a bit of hunting it should be possible to find some iPod friendly lessons when you decide which language to go for. You may find something in the library that you could rip to mp3 from cassette or cd.

matsalleh
I wish that we had learned Latin at school,as with knowledge of this, most European languages are fathonable. I can speak Latin, well the first 3 words we were taught in our enforced language lessons. Discipuli picto(u?)ram spectate, pupils look at the picture. Then it just went downhill from there. Vague_Boy
What would be a good and useful second language to learn? Chinese. Just two phrases though. "please" and "thank you". Get yourself a shoe shine kit and you've got a job that will see you through the next few decades.
stevie1957
What would be a good and useful second language to learn? If I was to attempt to learn a second language, say French or Spanish, I dont see me sitting down at home and listening/watching a DVD on the TV or laptop, it just wouldn't be practicle for me most of the time, so I was wondering if its possible to have audio lessons on an Ipod to listen to whilst on the go. Urdu or one of the Somali dialects could be useful in Sheffield.
