Mecky
Cheap fares, regular bus service, not more than 5 mins wait, buses crewed with conductors. The day Sheffield became congested was the day that cheap fares ended.

Balpin
I love public transport, as long at it is efficient. But it never is. I work over 20 miles away from where I live. I need to be there at all hours. I cannot use public transport for that reason. On some occasions I have used the train. Just getting to the astation early a.m. is a task in itself. Involving either walking miles, or getting taxis. In the morning they are pretty good, the trains. But as for getting home, they are useless. Invariably, either gypsies have nicked the signal cable, or the engine has failed at Grantham. Therefore it is a little used part of my working life. Balpin
PS, why it always Grantham that the engine fails at? Do they have some kind of Freudian engine slip?
nubile
I've just volunteered to pick up 3 bin bags full of bedding for the pound, dunno how i'd get from near the town centre to Walkley and back to west bar with those without my van.
