mart
Is it ok to put a PC tower on it`s side, just like they used to be used, or will that cause a problem?

sidbobs
The only problem you would have is trying to use the disc drives.

muddycoffee
Most dvd drives these days have little tabs to retain discs. they always have, even CD drives had tabs so the drive could be used either way up.
gillybear
I'd generally say yes, but as stated don't cover any vents. Also i'd avoid putting it upside down and i wouldn't put an old CRT Monitor on it, but you should be ok with a flat screen.
mart
Ok guys. Thanks for the responses. The reason i checked is that you tend not to see them used horizontally these days, and i wondered if the hard drive was located differently to how they used to be. sccsux
they always have, even CD drives had tabs so the drive could be used either way up. Most did (and do) but not all (I think I've still got one without them somewhere).
